Saxifraga arendsii hybrids are some of the most popular plants for rockeries, troughs and alpine houses. They usually form dense rosettes of tiny leaves, with clusters of small flowers in shades of red, pink, or white, held only an inch or so above the foliage. They are evergreen, and form spreading mats hugging the ground between rocks or over the edges of walls.
