Agapanthus hybrids are perennial bulbs with long, strap-like leaves, bearing large balls composed of many small flowers in shades of blue or white on stems 2-4' high in late summer. Hybrids of Agapanthus campanulatus are deciduous and more hardy than those of Agapanthus africanus, which is evergreen. They are impressive plants for the back of a border, or for pots on a patio.
