Ageratum houstonianum is one of the most popular annuals for edging a border. It makes a neat bushy plant with slightly coarse leaves, with clusters of neat fluffy flowers in shades of blue and mauve, or even pink or white, in summer. Taller varieties are now becoming popular, which can be placed further back in the border or in containers, and can also be used for cutting and indoor decoration.
